It shares many similarities with Rigid PCB technology as well as with Flat Flexible Cable (FFC) and Wire harness technologies. All these have their place in the industry with their own advantages and disadvantages. FPC however, uniquely combines all the key features of those technologies into the one super technology that can do it all.
